Alex joined Cuneo, Black, Ward & Missler in 2015. He became a shareholder in 2022. He graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara (B.A.) in June, 2003 and the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (J.D. and Capitol Certificate in Public Law and Policy) in May, 2010. He was admitted to the California State Bar December, 2010. Prior to joining our firm, he worked as a volunteer attorney at the Sacramento County Public Defender office and later as an attorney at the Children’s Law Center of Sacramento. He was also outside counsel at a Napa Valley law firm, providing legal consultation to various wine-industry clients.
Primary Focus
Alex represents public agencies and self-insured employers, with a concentration on representing insurance carriers. He handles all areas of workers’ compensation defense, including Serious & Willful misconduct and 132a petitions at all Workers’ Compensation Boards in California.
Alex has worked extensively with clients that have high-deductible policies. Alex has experience formulating and coordinating litigation strategies with both the claims adjustor and employer representative.
