Mr. Black was admitted to the California State Bar in 1975, and he has been a practitioner of workers’ compensation defense since 1976. He is certified by the State Bar of California as a specialist in Workers’ Compensation. John, a co-founder of the firm, previously served as the managing partner of the firm. He has served as an arbitrator and mediator for Workers’ Compensation cases both before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board and for the ADR Carveout Program.
John enjoys volunteering his time to his community. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the El Dorado Community Foundation, and was the President of the Board from January 2012 until January 2014.
